in class exercise

here i have a graph published by southern poverty law center on February 11, 2013. it  represents an anti Islamic hate crime incident between 1995 to 2008. the first thing i noticed is there is three parts in the graph before 2001, during 2001 and  after 2001 in other words before 9/11 attack and after it.
the first part of the graph the hate crime is very law comparing to the period that comes after and i assume it reason was the strange look of the Muslims  man/woman and/or their tradition and culture. i believe that during this part the hate crime wasn't that bad either it might go from a bad word to pushing.
in the middle we have 2001 incident were the hate crime blow up because everyone in the united states believed that 2001 attack were made by Muslims "terrorist". during this period the hate crime applied  in very significant way and the hate crime were dangerous and went to stab people and attack them with different staff.
the third part we the hate crime were dropped off for so many reasons. one of the reasons might be the high security and sever punishment that been applied for who ever who attempt to do this kind of things and also the invasion of Pakistan by the us army to take a revenge from alqiada.
after 2001 so many Muslims suffered from hate crimes such zeitoun who got arrested after hurricane katrina and accused to be member of alqaida without any evidence. from the chart we can tell that any government in any place in the world can play with circumstances to show people bad or even to use it to punish them and use it later on as claim to invade their countries.there is something missing in the graph it did not say where the hate crime is happening but i assume it was in the united states.

zeitoun blog

in the book zeitoun is describing the main character as a hard worker (Eggers 27). he did not have a car and he use a bike to go to the job and once his bike broke down and he was worried about getting to the job site late. he did not want throw the bike and if he keep using it he will be late so he put the bike in his back and he start running. he was also a man who like to keep his reputation to the top as the author said "he was panicking, if he was late for his job, what would happen to his reputation?" (Eggers 27) he has his thoughts that work is a pyramid and what you need is to be patient and work hard to reach to high level. his boss found him in that situation and he appreciate what he was doing and told him "you know, i have been at this for thirty years, and i think you are the best worker i have had" (Eggers 27) this was a greet comment from his boos that push him to work more hard.

blog N5

hi everyone, my name is salem aomari and im assigned in english 101 to comment on the new york city response to hurricane sandy.
i think New York was doing good before the hurricane will hit by sensationalizing people and informing them about this natural disaster but after that i saw a big gab between the people and the government and the information was a hard thing to get.
this was actually kind of punishment. in the passage blanking in the beach by Senth Mydans publised in the international herald tribune writes "victimizing the victims" (page 68) a victim is anyone who gone to trouble without been responsible for it. victimizing the victims, means that the administration chose to stay away in critical time and this was sort of blaming people for their situation even if they weren't responsible for it. and/or in the worst cases use this period of chock to drive them to wherever powerful people want to. the government stayed there till when people needed it and it disappeared as a vapor as people seeking for help to rebuild their houses or find a solutions get back their jobs. In some way we saw the same story happened in New York during and after hurricane sandy where people left behind without any explanation or help .this fact is still available in the sandy line stories where we heard some people talking about their experiences with the absence of the government.
